Arabidopsis lyrata DBP Family
Description
Carrasco et al. 2005: A novel family of plant-specific transcription factors is described. They are structurally related to DBP1 (for DNA-binding protein phosphatase 1), a new transcription factor recently characterized in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum), which exhibits both sequencespecific DNA-binding and protein phosphatase activity.
Members of this familySHOULD possess DNC PP2C domains
This family is also present in:
- Selaginella moellendorffii
- Oryza sativa subsp. indica
- Oryza sativa subsp. japonica
- Sorghum bicolor
- Zea mays
- Arabidopsis thaliana
- Carica papaya
- Populus trichocarpa
- Vitis vinifera
There are 4 gene models in this family
